Alex Coccia’s resume didn’t need much padding.

Before he had a college degree, Coccia, 23, of Clintonville, had taught in Uganda. He had researched in Rwanda. While at the University of Notre Dame, his fencing team won the national title. At the moment, he’s working under a prestigious government fellowship in Washington, D.C.

Now, he can add Rhodes Scholar to his credentials.
