Ralph Smith (AL & Corpus Christi '73) was recently named a Distinguished Friend of Oxford -- only one of nine recipients of the distinction bestowed by the University of Oxford in 2015.  The Distinguished Friend of Oxford Award scheme was initiated in 1997 as a way to formally recognize individuals who have acted as exceptional volunteers for the benefit of the University, its colleges and departments.

Ralph was nominated in recognition of his extraordinary support of the Rhodes Trust and the American Trust for Oxford.  The formal award ceremony will take place in Oxford at Harris Manchester College on Saturday 20 June 2014.

The mission of AARS is to bring Rhodes Scholars in America together in support of the Rhodes Scholarship, its values, and Oxford University through events, publications, networks and the web.
