University of Georgia senior Tracy Yang has won a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.
Yang, 21, is an anthropology major and plans to use her scholarship to obtain her master's degree in global health science at England's Oxford University.
Rhodes Scholars win two to three years of graduate study at Oxford.
"It's definitely something you can barely let yourself dream about," Yang said Sunday. "It's thrilling. I'm just excited to begin this new journey in my life."
A graduate of Macon's Southwest High School, Yang is one of 32 students from across the United States to be named a 2011 Rhodes Scholar, and one of just 80 worldwide.
