Headmaster's installation signals new era in the Haverford School's 129-year history

The Haverford School rocked the installation this week of its ninth headmaster, John A. Nagl.
Anyone who was expecting “Pomp and Circumstance” at the Sept. 24 ceremony was in for a surprise.
The
“walk-on music” selected by the speakers tended more to the Rolling
Stones and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nagl’s choice? Aerosmith’s “Dream
On.”
The classic rock was courtesy of a band made up of faculty
members, calling themselves the Haligoluks. (That’s the name of the
Haverford School yearbook, taken from a ’Fords cheer from the mists of
time.)
