Congratulations to James O’Connell, the May graduate of Wake Forest University who just learned he is one of 32 people nationwide to be named an American 2014 Rhodes Scholar.

“I was thrilled. I was sort of in shock; I thought I was dreaming,” O’Connell, who is from Tampa, told the Journal’s Carson Capshaw-Mack.
