New Jersey Senator and former Newark Mayor Cory Booker is a graduate of Stanford University and Yale Law School, and attended the University of Oxford on a Rhodes scholarship.
Booker earned an honors degree in U.S. history while he was there as a member of The Queen’s College. Today Booker wants to help a local Rhodes scholar.
Alexander Diaz, a graduate of St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, was named one of just 32 Rhodes scholars in the U. S., according to NJ.com. Diaz said, “Cory Booker called me, told me to feel free to contact him at any time, and offered his counsel, support and guidance with regard to any issues I may have with the Rhodes experience.”
